Of migraines and the office...

Today was a short day, literally. I ended up staying for 1 1/2 blocks and going home at 10:40 AM because I had a head splitting migraine which was the worst one I have had all week. I actually went to the office at around 9:30 AM, and called my dad then, but he showed up and hour later because he began taking a shower... Anyway, as I was sitting in the office I almost cried- the pain was that bad. A lot of teachers walking in and out of the office stopped to ask if I was okay and asked if I had someone coming to take me home because I did not look too good. One of those teachers was Mrs. Kumar (Kunal's mom) who was actually really nice. Also, Mr. Dyck stopped to ask if I had been kicked out of class again... As I was sitting there I got to wittness a lot of interesting things. Such as, a glass plate breaking because Ms. Robinson did not see it there and when she pulled out a cup it fell. Ms. Casey order Mrs. Shaw (secretary) to make 2 green teas, and funniest of all, I got to hear Mrs. Daws (principal) talking about her granddaughter. Apparently her granddaughter had strep throught, so she had to drink hot milk. Well, Mrs. Daws warmed the milk for her, but she was watching TV so she came half and hour later. When she eventually came to drink the milk, she said "I am not drinking this milk, and all it's coldness!" Now, you may think there is nothing funny about the statement, but her granddaughter is 4 years old! Can you imagine something like that coming out of a toddler's mouth? I can't. Anyway, after she said that Mrs. Daws said she replied, "What century are you from?" and that is funny because she was the grandmother... Anyway to that the secretaries started asking questions like "Can she read yet? Maybe that is where she learnt it." and they all agreed with the common and cliche saying, "Kids these days." I wonder if our grandparents used to say that to our parents...

Anyway, when my dad finally came, I went home, took a Tylenol, and went to sleep for an hour. Now, I would have slept longer if my dad did not wake me up to take me to the doctor. At the doctor's office I had to wait 2o minutes in a waiting room full of crying babies which made my head worse. "Wahh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" That was all I could hear. When our turn did come (last) the doctor told me I was having migraines and prescribed "Advil Gel Caps" or something like that... After that I had to go home, (my dad went to work) and I ate lunch and slept. When I woke up 2-3 hours later I watched several episodes of Drake and Josh and then checked my email and did some homework. Now, I am blogging and am probably going to go downstairs to watch some TV.

Also, I have a music test tomorrow. I made the worst choice ever. I though I got an 83% and that is why I wanted to take it again (we had a choice) but I got an 87%! Grrrreat...

Yes, but my mom says I should not eat them now because I feel "fine". I think I will tell her.

Teachers are going to complain about the Advil, trust me. Our school seems to have some troubles with it - it's all about Tylenol!! Well I like Advil better! Works better in my opinion. (Coming from a headache connoisseur)

How do you have migraines at this age. Where is the stress coming from?

Jessica said...

Migraines are hereditary.

Ghazal said...

My doctor said it could be anything from hereditary to hormones...

Jessica said...

Your doctor sounds like my doctor.

Ghazal said...

Who is your doctor?

Jessica said...

I'll tell you at school.
We have the same dentist, it'll be scary if we have the same doctor.
I'll accuse you of stalkage.

but my Doctor takes the cake...out of space and time.

Very funny Micah (really). Doctor Who defeats all of our doctors. Does he even have a medical degree?

The Atlantean said...

I don't know for certain, but has definitely had enough experience.

Ghazal said...

Is that enough to call him a doctor?

Jessica said...

You're so single minded, Ghazal
:P

I am just curious.

The Atlantean said...

he's not a doctor, he is THE Doctor. It's a title.

And that makes it all the more Brilliant?

(I'm learning XD)

Ghazal said...

So he is not an official doctor is he?

Notice he is using a stethoscope on the Ood.

I suppose he is a real (TV) doctor. Although I am not sure which degree you would need to treat an "Ood".
