Bad Mood. Read With Caution.

I know I should feel happy today, I did win a history award, but I am in a terrible mood right now, no, horrendous! You know how I can tell? I am feeling sarcastic and satirical and anyone who knows me (hopefully everyone here) will know that, that is a horrible thing. The root of all of this anger or rage is love. Love is stupid and with upmost displeasure I say it is everywhere. Just when I am beginning to calm down my parents decide to watch a stupid love movie and I just realized every song written these days is about love! Honestly, does the world have nothing better to do than fantasize about things that will never happen? Thousands of girls and boys in the world commit suicide because their "love" has parished or moved on. Love, if you ask me, is a killer. If you think about, more than half of the worlds' problems originated because of darn love! The war in Iraq is because of America's love of oil, World War One began because Austria-Hungary loved their politicians were blinded by it so, they let them ride in an open car and had them assasinated. World War Two, had Hitler not loved his own people or loved "purity" in the world 6 million Jews would not be dead! If Britain did not love land Canada would belong to France and the seven years war would be nothing! Love is useless.

Now I am sure you will all say something about love being powerful and whatnot, but honestly, it seems like a distraction. Why do we need love anyway? Can't friendship be enough? Without it heinously morphing into love? Love seems to ruin everything. Everywhere I look I see signs of love and I hate it!

Please do not call me emo, it is not the right word. I just feel so... left out I guess. Everyone seems to be falling in love around me and it just gets so annoying.

Hopefully I will cool down soon.

Everyone's falling in love?
And where was I when that happened?

It's OK, Ghazla. :D

"Love is the feeling you get when you see someone who you care about more than yourself. Love is the feeling you get when you know that someone somewhere is thinking about you. Love is the feeling where you know that without 'it' - you would be incomplete." - Anonymous.

And yeah - love reeks - but what would we do without it?

ZOMG ANONYMOUS SAID THAT? xD No just kidding.
And just because I commented again does not cancel out my previous question.

Everyone around me has (in)significant others attached to their hips too, and out of the hundreds of couples I know, only two or three truly have something that comes even remotely close to the Platonic ideal that is 'love'. For the the rest, it is merely a few minutes of squishy noises...

My point being, my belief in the Soulmate Principle is waning.

It is waning, and that is the sad part. Many people believe lust means love, when really everything platonic has just diminished. It makes me sad to see so many young couples who think they are happy with their "squishy noises" and the next day break up. No one is serious anymore and all of this false rubbish is driving me crazy.

On a side note I suppose I will get over this, but for the time being it has just put me in a terrible mood.

HA! Oh, awesome, one more for my Love Kills army!

Yeah, that was lame, never mind. Anywho, I think you're right, to a certain extent. However, we shouldn't go to either extreme - love is not some magical experience, nor is it something bad. It's just another emotion.
