"Are you deaf? I have been calling you for the last 15 minutes!"

"Sorry, I did not hear you."

My brother can be such an idiot sometimes. My neighbours called asking if he could play at their house, and me, doing my homework while spamming, said I would ask. Now, because I am lazy, I decided I would call him from upstairs, so I yell "Y! DO YOU WANT TO PLAY AT X'S HOUSE?" No response. I tried again, still nothing. Well, the third time is the charm, right? Still no response. Getting irritated I go downstairs indignantly and yell at him asking if he was deaf, to which he replied, "Sorry, I did not hear you." Boys...

Anyway, today was a pretty good day. Here is what happened.

  • In the morning, as I walked out the door, I realized it was raining! You may be wondering why this was a shock to me, well yesterday was a blue sky day and all of a sudden we have something short from a hurricane? Ugh...
  • When the bus finally reached the school I ran inside and got my stuff ready for the day.
  • Jessica came late saying her bus was late and her hair (no offense) was a little frazzled. Personally, I think it has seen better days (I love you too Jess).
  • First block, we had computers where I had to finish a tedious slideshow with a silent partner about the Ontario Legislative Assembly. Doesn't that sound like fun? When we finished I showed Jessica something hilarious on Twisted-DNA's blog, here
  • Then, we had music where we found out that we are having our test on Turkish March on Friday (no!) and we had to perform in front of the class (with the rest of our "groups")
  • Then we had L.A. where I read the Read XL book since I was finished the reading comprehension
  • Then, we had history where we had to read some passages and answer some questions
  • At lunch I showed Dev, Kanishkan, and Jameson the thing on Twisted-DNA's blog and they laughed. I also refused to do the "Stanky Legg" dance. Dakari and Dev, NO!
  • Then we went to Mr. Vincent's class where he did the "Get Silly" dance (I hate that song so much) and Jameson, Aisha, and I played my favourite game- BRAIN QUEST!
  • Then we had math where we finished a sheet
  • Then, we had a minor religious debate in science and we did a sheet on cells
  • Then, we had French where we practiced our skits for tomorrow, "Non. Pas encore. Brésil doit gagner un autre tournoi." (take that Jessica!) During that time I tried to motivate Davan into memorizing his lines, Jessica and Kanishkan tried to get me to do something very stupid with my hands which makes anyone look like a sailor, and Abhijit asked me out.
  • At the end of the day I went to get my lunch bag and when I turned around, I walked right into Abhijit. Awkward.
  • Then I went home
  • When I got home I ate a lot of fried food and my mom called me fat. :(
  • Now I am going to do my homework
Passing thoughts, I should put my Twitter link back on my blog... Also, to Sam, why haven't you been reading my blog?

Boys will be boys...
Don't you watch the news?
My hair /has/ seen better days. It's also seen worse days, but I try not to let you all see that. And yes, it's a cornucopia of love ♥
Silent partner? -tries to remember who you went with- OH!
You forgot to mention that it's /Beethoven's/ Turkish march.
I will NEVER play Brain Quest. Ever.
OMG YOU REMEMBERED THE LINE! Now you just have to remember WHEN you say the line.
It does /not/ look sailor like. It's adorably cheesy.

Yes it does look sailor like. By the way, I forgot to mention that I can skateboard!

Jessica said...

Yay you!
-not jealous at all-
And it is STILL not sailor like.

Ghazal said...

Yes it is! By the way, how do you play a quarter note in 2/4 time?

Jessica said...

The same way you play a quarter note any other time?
The only difference in 2/4 time is you're counting "1,2,1,2" instead of "1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4"
Random question.

Ghazal said...

Thanks. I was practicing and got confused.

Jessica said...

I see.
Hey, you're supposed to scan it in!

Ghazal said...

It won't let me! It is too big to fit in my scanner! Ask Sonia.

Jessica said...

-grumbles-
Fine.

Hey! Glad you liked the post :)

Man, I stopped at Jessica's question about quarter note and spent 5 minutes thinking! Now my head hurts, I should stop thinking about note or about anything in general :)

See you around

Jessica said...

Ghazal's question :P
Thinking is bad for you.

Ghazal said...

No problem, it really was funny- and true. Indian culture continues to make me laugh.

As for the question, I was confused too, that is why I asked Jessica.

Why do women always yell form across the house? my mother does it and irritates me to the brink of pulling my hair out.

Jessica said...

I'm guilty.
We're lazy.
But when my mom does it she gets mad a ME for it.

Ghazal said...

Ah, I have been questioning that since the day I was born. Probably because they think it will embarrass us more and we will be less inclined to do it again.

Jessica said...

And because we're lazy.

Twisted DNA said...

ROFL! Yes, Ghazal's question and Jessica's answer. But you can't blame me for getting names mixed up after thinking about such hard questions as quarter notes, especially when I have no training in music :)

Jessica said...

^^It's ok.
We were all like that once.

Ghazal said...

True. I was like that quite recently, though it still puzzles me as to why you tried to answer it when you did not know what the answer was. :) Indian mentality?

Twisted DNA said...

Lol. No at some point I read music theory. I probably even understood a bit of it. When I saw the question I tried so hard to remember what I read. I can play the keyboard a bit but have absolutely no training.

Indian mentality is to answer the question whether I know it or not and then fiercely defend my position :D

Ghazal said...

I did too, attending all of those music classes only to forget when it all mattered. I also play the keyboard without formal training.

I am the same way. I feel as Indians, we tend to feel pride in any question we answer correctly, which did not do me much good in health class.

Jessica said...

Yay keyboardists who were never trained! -points at self-

Except I'm not Indian. I'z Guyanese. Close enough.

Ghazal said...

Yep. Close enough.
