Since summer does not seem to be throwing adventure at me, I decided to take things into my own hands; I am going to read. Now, this is not a bad idea considering I did not have much time during school. So, without further adieu I would like to introduce my current reading material to you.
Anthem of a Reluctant Prophet; Joanne Proulx

I just started reading this book a few hours ago and it is very good. Forget the ideal child, this teenager has so much more. Oddly enough, the main character reminds me of Kraven- I wonder why...
Vampire Diaries: Nightfall; L.J. Smith

This book is not your usual vampire novel, it has romance, horror, drama, humour, and everything supernatural meshed into one. In other words- the perfect vampire book after Anne Rice.

Just letting you know, I'll be borrowing both those books in the near future :P
I need to finish them first! I don't have Nightfall, I am reading some of it online- though I do intend on buying it very soon.
I call them after Jessica.
I'm so bored. I'm done the 2 books I bought from Chapters, and I need reading material.
Me too. That is how I initially found the first book.
And I'm bored because I have yet to find my sister's copy of Love, Stargirl.
It sounds good.
And doesn't more or less every vampire novel have romance, horror, supernaturalism, and drama?
Yeah, but this is much better than Twilight. The Author actually knew how to write.
Save for the makeout scenes. Those were just WEIRD.
Well, yeah. But it is better than Twilight because the author does not waste pages upon pages explaining how Edward is this perfect persona of perfection.
(You mean Stefan)
Yeah, but that's because Stefan wasn't perfect. And frankly neither was Edward, what with him being all masochistic.
Like some people I know...
Yep. Neither Stefan or Damon is perfect.
But Damon pulls it off better.
Meh, I like them both.
Of course you do.
What is that supposed to mean?
Because you like Stefan(though I don't know why) and how could anyone hate Damon?
Because Stefan is awesome. He is a guy who is not to stuck up or egotistical to cry.
But...he's too sentimental, it's WEIRD.
That's kind of why he rocks. He is not afraid to show his emotions and he is win.
But after a certain point it's just desperate.
I don't think so. In fact, Damon seems a little pig-headed at times.
I would love to read it (VD), but it's not at the library... -.-"
You can borrow them from me.
Sigh, Damon's not pigheaded.
He's just...well, how do I put this...
Well he's kind of hiding from himself.
And in order to shy away from the truth he acts pig-headed.
Key word "acts."
But to the untrained eye it would seem that he actually is.
But your eye isn't untrained.
So you should be able to see through that.
I did, I was just saying- if the general population of our former school were to read it, it would appear that way.
Well the general population of our former school is a bunch of idiots.
Therefore if they were to read it, they would not comprehend the complex weave of character mood swings.
But their opinion doesn't MATTER.
But still!
But still what?
When you are an author, the opinions of your intended audience for your books matter.
And you really think the author's intended audience was "the idiots of ____ Middle School?"
Teenagers.
Meh.
Well, still, I'm pretty sure if you read the books you could tell that Damon had some issues.
And usually people with issues aren't themselves.
Nightfall shows Damon as a complete idiot for a while, and then we realize...
NOOO! DON'T TELL ME!
I want to read it for myself.
Okay, okay.
