Peanut flavoured popsicles? No thank you.

To those of you out there who are proud Canadians, I wish you a very happy Canada day and to those of you who are not proud Canadians, happy Canada day to you too. Today was a very... eventful day. I woke up to find everyone in the house was dressed and ready to go somewhere, and almost forgot about the sleeping teenager upstairs. I feel so cared about. This must be the behavior child services loves! Anyway, they gave me half an hour to get dressed and eat. I managed to stow my book along with me to read in the car, and as a result of that behavior I have a massive headache from motion sickness- but we will get on to that later. Anyway, after leaving we headed down to Professor's Lake to go... boating? Yes, we were going to sit in a paddle boat for an hour on a perfectly good day. I almost talked them out of it, but it turns out it was all a ruse. I had to go. The funny thing is, when we got to the boat, it was only meant for 4 people, and we had 5. Just as I thought the stars were aligned for me, the guy said I could sit on the "hump". The "hump" as it turns out, was the peice of architecture which was built for the sole purpose of making the boat steady, and with me sitting on it- uncomfortable was my only word. We paddled around for an hour and I got bored. This was torture. When a painful hour was finally up, we paddled up to the dock, and a lifeguard helped us all out. Once we were out, I was mortified to discover I was soaking wet. There went my good day...

After that experience my dad decided to follow tradition and head down to the annual Toronto rib festival- so we did. It was boring. We sat there, listened to some lady sing "Big Girls Don't Cry" in a horrible sounthern accent and saw an ad for peanut popsicles. It just goes to show, you can find anything in Toronto. I ended up eating a hotdog and drank a slushie. My parents had a heart attack on a plate. In other words, a fried onion thing and deep fried potato stuff. No, I do not know what it was. After that I forced my parents to go, and now we are back home and I am on the computer. By the way, at the rib-fest I saw 6 brown families out of the 1-2000 people that were there. That was 5 more than I expected. Anyway, I feel very tired right now so I am going to sign it off there. If I did not say so before, Happy Canada Day.

Um, yay for those who stay home on holidays?

Ghazal said...

Meh. I wish I could have stayed home.

I wish I weren't so bored.

Ghazal said...

Same here. I wish your birthday would come sooner.

Jessica said...

Meh.
Speaking of which, we're having it at my house =)
It's cheaper and all I have to do is clean.

Cool. Did Derek tell you he intends on sleeping in your room for an hour or two? Maybe you should extend the time based on that.

Jessica said...

No, he did not tell me that.
Ew. I kind of have a single bed. WHERE THE HELL AM I GOING TO SLEEP?

Bre said...

Hehehe. :D I liek!

Ghazal said...

Wait, what do you mean? He is not going to sleep with you.

Jessica said...

^^That was Dev's idea.
The point being if he falls asleep I'm guessing he won't be moving for a very long while.
So where do I go?

Ghazal said...

He is not going to sleep over at your house! He meant sleep during the party!

Jessica said...

I didn't mean it like that either.
OK, fine, put it this way: Where the hell are we going to sit and play on the Wii? There is ONE chair in my room.

Ghazal said...

No clue. Can you move it?

Jessica said...

Well, I can move it downstairs.
But that means moving the drumkit, and the guitar, and the mic, and everything else, and also trying to find where to plug it in.

Ghazal said...

How in the world did all of that fit in your room?

Jessica said...

Er...it's not actually much, since my TV is really small and the whole thing about a single bed being about half the size(widthwise) of a regular bed.

Ghazal said...

Well, still.

Jessica said...

Meh. I suppose this is a bad time to add that I have 2 desks?
My sister has a guinea pig, though.

2 Desks : Guinea Pig

I know what I would rather have.

Well, you see, we needed to put the keyboard(no matter how awful of a keyboard it is) SOMEWHERE.
