Ever since I began talking to Anon (yes, that is my new name for him now) I have an odd urge to be uncharacteristically satirical. Not that I am complaining, satire is awesome, it is just that I have to be extremely careful I do not use it in front of my parents. I did use it on my brother though, he looked so shocked. Probably because I was eating the last packet of the Maynard's candy we have, but whatever. Anyway, I did end up saying something a little too satirical to my mom the other day.
In the car at 10:45 PM driving home from dinner at a restaurant.
Mom: Shoving a sheet she got from someone in the restaurant in my face, "Look at this! It is so interesting!"
Me: Feeling rather irritated because I had to pretend my meal tasted good when it was horrible, "Mom, it is almost eleven o'clock, I can't read it in the dark."
Mom: "But it is so interesting."
Me: "Of course! Because the earth cares so much about your personal intrigue, it will freeze amidst it's rotating around the sun, spin the other way and shine light upon this van, so I can read the interesting article."
Mom: Stunned by my rudeness "Mind your attitude young lady! We did not have to buy you that $20.00 meal tonight, we did not do our pocketbooks a favour...
Meanwhile my dad and brother were trying to sustain their laughs.

XDDD nice
Oh, the irony...LOL, but honestly even I wouldn't say that...
I thought you promised you would only use your nerdiness for good.
When did I promise that?
I don't know, but I think you said it.
Or not.
-vaguely remembers something like that-
I dunno, maybe you didn't.
But knowing you, you might have.
See? Even she thinks it's possible.
I never said it was impossible, I just said I did not remember saying it.
Selective memory?
Not at all.
Are you sure? The truth will set you free.
I am sure I do not remember saying anything of the sort.
You must have said SOMETHING like it.
I do not remember. I told you.
Selective memory...
Perhaps that is the case.
